Born at Barcelona in 1984, Gerard began to direct when he was only 10. His first films were short documentaries with his father's 9mm camera. After finishing his degree in Telecommunications Engineering at the Universidad Politécnica of Catalunya, he traveled to Sydney, Australia, to study his true passion: film direction and screenplay. He attended the Sydney International Film School between 2009 and 2011, directed, producing, editing and writing short films. “Qué verán los dragones en chicas como yo” (2019) is one of the most awarded short films at international festivals. In 2012, Gerard traveled from Australia to México. He directed many ads for brands such as BMW, FIAT, Nutrioli, Telcel, General Motors and LALA, and several recieved awards in the United States. In the realm of cinema, he directed the second season of “Espectro” (201), “No sé si cortarme las venas o dejármelas largas” (2013) and the not yet premiered “Mind Puppets” (2016).
